THE WEATHER

Postby Brockster » Fri Feb 26, 2010 11:46 pm

I'm not sick of the snow, but I was wanting to get the Vespa out in the worst way today after work...sigh.

For those of you that have been grousing about the snow and weather the past month or so in Dayton, this is what a typical month in Bowling Green, Ohio was when I went to school there. Temps in the 20's and snow staying on the ground for weeks.

So much for the trip down memory lane. :?

Its reminding me of college too. Kent State was buried under snow for weeks at a time. I got so sick of it, I moved south a bit to Dayton. That isn't working out so well this year, is it?!?!

I just rechecked the extended weather forecast (10 day) on Yahoo, and it looks like the weather is finally giving us a break. Saturday, March 6, the temp is supposed to be 43 degrees with a 10% chance of precip. What's even better, by Tuesday, we're looking at 49 degrees, but with showers. I'm thinking about taking a ride next Saturday, if the weather holds the way it's predicted.
I'll keep you updated....

We will need a good rain to wash all that salt away.

I rode about 15 miles just around Bellbrook & Sugarcreek Township yesterday to drina the fuel from the tank, since I've gotten 20 miles from the reserve.

I'm going to fix that right-side turn signal issue, but I need to drain the tank and pull it to get to the area that I need to work on.

It wasn't too bad. I just took it easy on the turns and on anything sketchy-looking on the pavement.
